Film Discussion (Film: Us)

The movie Us came out in March of 2019. On the heels of the smashing action-packed success Get Out, it was underwhelming for many. But we here at The Oligarchy saw that the brilliance of the movie Us was not in the punches and kicks, but in the symbolism. At this event, we'll talk about symbolism, as well as the concepts of identity and armageddon. Discussion topics will also include: "alternative Blackness", self-defense, spirituality and "justifiable paranoia".
