Film Discussion (Film: Queen and Slim)

In November 2018, the movie Queen & Slim quietly graced screens in the movie theaters. At this event, we'll talk about resistance, untimely death and power dynamics in race. Discussion topics will also include: Black love, the concept of "legacy", PTSD, snitches, higher education, the myth of the white ally and how the off-screen lives of actors influence our perceptions of media.
