Film Discussion (Film: Get Out)

When Get Out debuted in February 2017, it was wildly successful, not just because Jordan Peele was involved, but also because of the novelty of seeing Black people in Horror. At this event, we'll talk about how realistic the horror was in that movie, as well as the messages that we received as members of the audience. Discussion topics will also include: interracial dating, theories on personal identity, capitalism, personality disorders, defense mechanisms, and the "Africa vs. Everybody" paradigm.
